About
I started painting seriously last September, after losing my job in tech. It was the beginning of something I’d been putting off for too long. One day I hope to support myself entirely as an artist.
I paint two things: figures and landscapes.
The women I paint have a quality I keep coming back to — a strength and defiance that needs no outside approval. I paint animals for the same reason. When you stand in front of one of my portraits, I want you to take something with you — a reminder of your own strength, something to carry into your day.
The landscapes come from the same impulse. I paint on location because something stopped me — a quality of light, a feeling in a particular moment, a place most people would have walked right past. I want you to see it too.
I’m based in Issaquah, Washington. I work in oil, acrylic, and mixed media, painting across the Pacific Northwest. I’m currently preparing for the 2026 Issaquah Studio Tour.
